Comprehensive Driving Evaluations

Service Description

We provide comprehensive driving evaluations for individuals that have questions or concerns about their fitness to drive or who need adaptive equipment. The evaluation consists of an off-road clinical assessment and an on-road behind the wheel assessment. The clinical assessment evaluates vision, physical abilities, and cognition and takes approximately an hour. The behind the wheel evaluation includes driving in a variety of settings, trialing appropriate equipment if necessary and takes approximately one hour. If adaptive equipment is needed, then a vehicle modification prescription is written when the client demonstrates competency driving using the equipment. Every client will receive a detailed report that summarizes the different aspects of the assessments and outlines specific recommendations for safe driving.
